Create an Indoor Oasis
Lately I have been really into gardening. I find it relaxes me and I love seeing my little garden bloom! And now I’ve moved onto bringing more houseplants into our new place. Being so old, you can see why I thought he deserved a name. I went on a hunt to find some easy-to-care-for houseplants…

Why Manda Mosher’s ‘Cold Cold Love’ Warms Our Hearts
Manda Mosher is a trend setter when it comes to music and the empowering impact it can make. Manda is a singer, songwriter and one half of the Americana duo CALICO The Band. You’d think she came straight out of Nashville but Manda and the band’s roots are strictly Southern California. In fact, CALICO stands for “California Country” and the music is fresh, vibrant, and real. It’s no surprise that one of Manda’s songs was chosen for Magnolia Pictures ‘Please Stand By,’ a film starring Dakota Fanning, Toni Collette, Alice Eve and Patton Oswald. In the Spotlight: Girl Boss Michelle Nutz of ALKALI Beauty Products
Michelle has been my hairdresser since way back in the day! My husband likes to joke and says he is the reason we met which is sort of true. He came back after getting his haircut at a salon across from our apartment and told me about a cool young woman who just arrived from South Africa. He thought we’d get along. Well, I guess he was right since I have been seeing Michelle since the late 90’s and only once veered off to go to a woman who would dye my hair brown since I knew she wouldn’t! True story. I had to come back with my head hung…
