Tips for Spending Quality Time with the Family
We like to enjoy a family night-in about once a week. Usually it falls on a Friday or Saturday night and it’s a great time for us to spend time together, whether we are playing board games, cards (my daughter is extremely lucky… ) or watching a movie together, I do treasure these moments as I anticipate it might get harder to have my soon-to-be teenager to want to “hang with the parents.” I think though that teens, especially teens, still need this family time to reconnect and stay grounded during these rather whirlwind years. One of our new favorite movies, A Wrinkle in Time, will appeal to just about every family.…

7 Entryway Design Tips and Ideas
1). Landing Spot. This could be a console table, bench or a Japanese Tansu or even dress of drawers. Figure out how much space you have in this area and go from there. 2). Storage. We store our dog’s lease, keys and knick knacks in a felt IKEA basket I found a few months back. At the time I wasn’t sure what I was going to use it for but I love the contrast with the Japanese Tansu. Think about what you plan to use it for and buy the size you need. IKEA has a ton of containers on the cheap! 3). Seating. I found this cute felt…

IVORY Free & Gentle Body Wash Provides Peace of Mind for Busy Families
Today’s post is brought to you by PG&E. Ivory soap is one of America’s most historic, iconic brands. Starting 138 years ago with a floating bar of soap, Ivory was the original gentle family brand you could trust. Times have changed since 1879, but more than ever consumers need brands that are safe and gentle enough for their family. Ivory aims to simplify life so you can spend more time on the things that matter most. I have used Ivory soap since I was a kid. It has been our go-to brand because we liked the scents they offered and it never dried out our skin. And now Ivory has come…

She is also quite the gamer these days and we came across some really fun ideas for the bedroom that I wanted to share with you all in case you also are looking to update your child’s room. Can’t wait to show you the before and after pictures. No judgment though, as her room has slowly but surely…

Creating the Perfect Gallery Wall
Have you been wanting to create a gallery wall in your home but not sure where to start? That was my dilemma for oh, probably three years now, so I figured it was time to commit! Commit to trying out some fresh ideas but with some guidance. When Canvas Factory contacted me about collaborating I jumped at the chance as I love the look of photographs on canvas. Canvas prints are created when an image is printed onto canvas and then stretched or gallery wrapped onto a wooden frame ready for display or hanging. To create a canvas print just upload your photo or image, choose the size and…

“One in a Melon” A Watermelon 1st Birthday Party
Theme: One in a Melon [Watermelon 1st Birthday Party] I was honored to collaborate with my best friend, Marissa Bell, on her daughters first birthday party. Here is her story of how she came up with this adorable theme one in a melon & how we created the balloon garland. The party was adorable and loved by all! My husband, Dan loves to grill, he is known for his amazing BBQ so it was a given that whatever theme Everleigh’s 1st birthday party was he’d be providing his culinary gems. I thought of several different themes, all of which were super girly and frilly which, I didn’t feel went well…
