DIY Woven Wall Hanging
This is a wonderful project for adults and kids to try. It is easy and fun and you can find stuff in and around your house to use. My son, Ruan, made a very cute one for his teacher as her holiday gift this year. Family :: Creating Magical Holiday Meals Together
The holidays provide the perfect opportunity to spend quality time together making yummy holidays meals. A few weeks back I received an adorable mailer from a new company called TIDY. I love this concept and just had to find out more about this cleaning service that provides house cleaning options for busy families. For example, if you want a cleaning person to only tidy up one or two areas in your house before your next party – they will do that for only $40. I like that the services can range from a quick pick up to a very intense top-to-bottom cleaning service where everything in your home is dusted off, cleaned up and sparkly when you come home. I wanted to find out…

How Tidying Up Can Change Your Life
This post contains sponsored content. While living and working in Japan years ago, I was introduced to the concept of Wabi Sabi which represents a comprehensive Japanese world view or aesthetic centered on the acceptance of transience and imperfection. The spirit of Wabi Sabi is based on a simple set of ideals adopted from nature such that it is imperfect, impermanent, and incomplete. Wabi Sabi implies a modesty of soul that allows one to see and appreciate the simple and the common. In this spirit, I have worked at bringing in my home things that make me happy when I look at them. I enjoy having scented candles lit even during…
