4 Steps to Getting Your Home Shiny and Happy!
This year I’ve been on a mission to get our home decluttered and organized. I’ve read several books that recommend steps for getting and keeping your home organized and drop-by ready. I’ve had more than my share of situations where friends and neighbors stop-by and I have to apologize for the state of the house and I was tired of that. Don’t get me wrong, life happens, houses get messy (and dirty) but I wanted a home that would be 1) happy 2) organized and 3) peaceful. I find when I have less clutter I feel more at peace in my home. How about you? Are you affected emotionally when the house is disorganized and messy? Here are some…

Easter is here! I have such fond memories of hunting for Easter eggs as a kid that each year I try to make it special for my daughter. I have been on a mission to get our home decluttered and organized. I would almost say it is bordering on an obsession! When I have a couple hours, you can usually find me going through each room in the house getting rid of stuff we no longer: use, need or want. Now, I am looking to get our pantry organized and will share pictures once it is done but went on a hunt to find some ideas to try out. Here are some of my…

5 Tips for Making Valentine’s Day Extra Special!
My husband and I disagree about Valentine’s Day. He gets overwhelmed (and a bit annoyed) by all the hype surrounding Valentine’s Day and doesn’t get why we need one day to express or show our love to family and friends. He aspires to show this daily and not on just one day. I understand his thinking, but my feeling is to not think you have to go over the top with diamonds, flowers and chocolates (but that’d be nice wouldn’t it?) but, instead think of it as a day of demonstrating how much you care about your family. There is no pressure, just do what you are up to doing, and…
