Recipe :: Flax Smoothie to start off your day!
Flaxseed is a great source of fiber and omega-3 fatty acids. During my studies in human nutrition I learned about the many benefits of flaxseeds. You can find ground or whole flaxseeds at your local grocery store. I use them in my daughter’s favorite pancake mix (shhh, she’s none the wiser) and mix it in recipes when I can. This year we have some green ideas to incorporate this year for Easter. From using recycled and shredded colored craft paper to fill your baskets to making your own confetti…

Homemade Linguine and Clams Recipe
Last night my in-laws treated me to a favorite recipe that’s been in their family for almost 50 years and I was in heaven! Linguine and clams is one of my all-time favorites and when they heard that I love this meal they made a huge dish of it for all of us to enjoy. My father-in-law received a recipe gift box filled with recipes (remember when they use to give those out?) when he was working for a bank over 40 years ago as a giveaway for their employees. Though not all the recipes stuck around this one is in their top 5 and I can see why. If you like linguine…
