Easy Back-To-School Lunch Ideas
I have been hearing a lot of complaints from my daughter about her school lunch. And most days her lunch box comes home full. Yikes! She has been hitting the school cafeteria and her food choices are not quite as healthy as I would like them to be. So I went on a hunt for more recipes that I can easily do the night before (if I am that organized) or in the morning before she heads off to school (which is more likely). Below are some healthy recipes, eazy peezy ideas and even a few hot lunches as I have had this request too! Here’s to offering our…

Taste of Nature Bars are a Healthy Snack for Kids and Moms
According to a recent national survey conducted by Kelton and sponsored by Taste of Nature, nearly all (98%) Americans snack, but nine in ten (85%) admit they find healthy snacking to be difficult. Americans struggle to find a balance between what tastes good and what’s good for them. As a mom to a kid who has a major sweet-tooth, I am…

That way, once things have been cleared out, donated, given away, or sold, you will know what you really need and don’t have…

Prevention Key In Fight Against Breast Cancer – Part 2
Image courtesy of Flickr What you are about to read are suggestions to help reduce your risk of breast cancer. Studies have also shown a direct link between cancer risk and what we eat. There is some research out that suggests a possible link between women who consume large amounts of red meat and processed meats and higher rates of breast cancer. I believe the threat lies not only with the meat, but in how it’s cooked. There is no question that cooking at high temperatures (whether frying, broiling or barbecuing) produces cancer-causing chemicals called heterocyclic amines. The addition of vitamin E, and fruits like blueberries to your diet inhibits the effects of these…

Health :: PEPCID COMPLETE Offers Relief for Heartburn
Todays post is brought to you by PEPCID As part of the PEPCID Tastemakers campaign, I was surprised to find out so many people suffer from heartburn and indigestion! More than 25 million adults experience heartburn daily. There have been times that I have had heartburn and it can be quite uncomfortable. What triggers heartburn varies from person to person and some of the common culprits can include food, alcohol, caffeine, smoking, stress and weight. I have found after eating rich foods or eating when upset (never a good thing) can cause me some discomfort. When PEPCID sent me their new product to try out, PEPCID COMPLETE, I was surprised…
