Butter Pecan Cake with Buttercream Maple (Pecan) Frosting
A crisp fall day. The smell of pumpkins and leaves in the air. And chilly. You can smell that too. Just enough to walk a little brisk or to throw on a scarf and where you pull your boots out. Whether Fall has just begun or it’s full in swing and you’re looking for a dessert for Thanksgiving or Christmas this Butter Pecan cake with a Buttercream Maple Frosting always tugs at my heart strings. New Krusteaz Cookie Mixes Make Clean Up a Breeze
I don’t know where in the world you are, but in Southern California it’s been hot. Thanks to the heat, I haven’t been turning my oven on to do much baking, but I recently got a package full of really good reasons to bake cookies. Krusteaz sent me a package full of cookie mixes to try, complete with one apron for myself and an apron for one of the kids, a potholder, a set of measuring spoons and a super-fun set of cookie cutters. These sponsored posts help support the site, but all opinions are mine alone. #ASweetSale #CollectiveBias #Albertsons It is hard to believe that we have lived in our neighborhood for almost 20 years now! I moved here years ago and rented an apartment because my then-boyfriend (who is now my husband) told me he had friends who lived in the neighborhood and that they really liked the area. Who knew that our family would be going on 20 years, have lived in two apartments in the area, purchased our home 100 yards from our apartment, got engaged, married and had our…

All opinions are mine alone. #Back2SchoolReady #CollectiveBias Get #Back2SchoolReady with Kellogg’s products and a Scholastic book! We love books in our house! In fact, my dream of becoming a children’s author was born while visiting our local independent bookstore when my daughter was little. Every week, I would push her in the stroller from our house to this adorable book shop and we would spend hours looking at all the colorful and magical children’s books. It was sitting amongst the hundreds of gorgeous picture books that my dream of becoming a children’s book author started to come alive. …
