Inspirational Mom Jonelle Krier of Assessables
You know when you come across a product and think “why didn’t I think of that” or “why didn’t someone think of this sooner?” is what I thought when I saw the Assessables Umbilical Bodysuit that Registered Nurse Jonelle Krier invented. Her company is a 2012 HuggiesMom Inspired Grant and she tells us more about why she created this important piece of clothing every mother should be given at the hospital to take home with them. I love her story as it shows that she saw a need for a product that parents could use for their newborn and took the steps to make it happen. Tell us how you…

Inspirational Moms Susanne and Robyn of Greater Than One
This week we are featuring Susanne Budofsky and Robyn Spritzer of Greater Than One who are Huggies MomInspired Grant 2012 recipients for their Hold-On Handles product line. I really like how they developed a product that parents with kids who tend to stray can use to help keep them close. When my daughter started walking she was not afraid of exploring her surroundings – with or without me. This made for lots of exercise as I was constantly having to go after her. The Hold-on Handles are cute and help keep the kids safe when you need them stay close to you. I had a chance to speak to Susanne and Robyn about how the…

Inspirational Mom: Natalia Ortiz of Two Hippos
Inspirational Mom: Natalia Ortiz Huggies Mom provides grants to deserving moms each year in their Huggies Mom Inspired Grant Program they conduct once a year. I heard about Natalia Ortiz as she was one of the winners last year for the grant for her Two Hippo’s company. She created the Wall Bumpi after having problems with her young daughter hitting her head on the wall while sleeping in her big girl bed! I love when our children provide inspiration for creating! Natalia realized that other parents might in fact have similiar problems, and thus started her journey to design and manufacture a Wall Bumpi that could not only protect…

Inspirational Mom: Florence Wetterwald of blabla kids
The mom I am featuring this week is one of my absolute favorite people! She lives her life like every day is an adventure and never takes things too seriously – yet has built a very successful company called blabla kids. You have probably seen these dolls in top children’s boutiques and trendy children’s catalogues. The designs are so simple yet so colorful. You can’t help but smile when you see a bla bla doll! I met Florence about 15 years ago as her sister and I are good friends and neighbors. She is just one of those people who makes you feel heard and enjoyed. She looks at each day…

Annie Fox is a mother, author and business owner and has recently released a new book called Teaching Kids to Be Good People. In a time of news stories about the increase of social media bullying, it is nice to have this book available to help parents and educators teach about an important life skill – the importance of treating others with kindness and respect. I had a chance to speak to Annie about their new book and the importance to taking care of your own health while juggling many roles. Tell us more about your new book Teaching Kids to Be Good People and the inspiration…

Inspirational Mom: Jean Schulz
The characters Charles Schulz created will always hold a dear place in my heart as I grew up enjoying Charlie Brown and his friends in their comical observations of life. Jean Schulz was married to Charles Schulz and is currently President of the Board of Directors for the Charles M. Schulz Museum and Research Center in Santa Rosa, California. The Charles M. Schulz Museum opened in August 2002 to fulfill its mission of preserving, displaying, and interpreting the art of Charles M. Schulz. Ms. Schulz is quite active at the museum and blogs about her adventures in the cartooning and comic book world of Peanuts. We had a chance to talk this week and she shares…
