Disney’s Minnie and Daisy Magazine and Book Review & Giveaway
History of Minnie Mouse and Daisy: Minnie Mouse was created by Ub Iwerks and Walt Disney. The comic strip story “The Gleam” (published January 19-May 2, 1942) by Merrill De Maris and Floyd Gottfredson first gave her full name as “Minerva Mouse.” Minnie has since been a recurring alias for her. This past summer, despite the worst vacation weather experienced to date, we managed to enjoy the Island and all it has to offer—without having to resort to the use of TV and video…

Crafts :: Create Memorable Mother’s Day Crafts
Celebrate Mother’s Day with some home-made gifts: According to the National Retail Federation’s consumer spending survey conducted in April 2012, Americans spent about $18.6 billion nationally for Mother’s Day. And the trend to spend more continues in spite of high gas prices and uncertainty around our economy. Mother’s Day is just around the corner and I think most moms can attest that the best presents are those made by our kids. For our kids, the process of creating something and then seeing how excited we get over their arts and crafts is pretty special! But don’t get me wrong – I am always a sucker for pretty flowers and…
