Bill Nye Saves the World is an upcoming American talk show hosted by Bill Nye and will premiere on Netflix April 21st. The series will focus on science, and will investigate its relationship with politics, pop culture and society. The first season will explore topics such as climate change, alternative medicine, video games, and sex from a scientific point of view, whilst also refuting myths and anti-scientific claims. I had a chance to check out a couple of the episodes at the Netflix Headquarters in Los Angeles at their Bill Nye Saves the World screening party. It was super interesting for me to see what the Netflix building…

While volunteering in the refugee camp of Piraeus in Athens Greece, I noticed many teenage boys did not believe their teenage girl peers could for play football (soccer), volleyball and other activities. Being a teenage girl myself, these stereotypes bothered me so much that we tried our best to break these stereotypes and encourage the other girls to do the same. My family and I started by primarily empowering girls to believe in themselves…

Travel :: Tips and Highlights for Visiting Thailand with Kids
“You’re going Where??? To Thailand??? And you you’re taking the kids??? Wow…” That pretty much sums up the reaction we got when we told people where we were headed over Thanksgiving break. I understand their reactions. After I got married and started planning to have kids, my motto was “I’ll never stop travelling! We’ll just bring the kids with us, of course!” In my previous life (as I like to call it), I was blessed with a love of travel. I visited 5 continents and over 25 countries and I had no intention of letting a silly little thing called “motherhood” get in the way of continuing…
