“One in a Melon” A Watermelon 1st Birthday Party
Theme: One in a Melon [Watermelon 1st Birthday Party] I was honored to collaborate with my best friend, Marissa Bell, on her daughters first birthday party. Here is her story of how she came up with this adorable theme one in a melon & how we created the balloon garland. The party was adorable and loved by all! My husband, Dan loves to grill, he is known for his amazing BBQ so it was a given that whatever theme Everleigh’s 1st birthday party was he’d be providing his culinary gems. I thought of several different themes, all of which were super girly and frilly which, I didn’t feel went well…

So what’s in your closet? Are you looking to add a few (or several) fun pieces to your summer wardrobe? This summer we are seeing a mix of boho chic, tassels, off the shoulder blouses and florals. I am a big believer in not necessarily following trends just to follow them but see what works for your body type, lifestyle and comfort level. HBO’s Big Little Lies Immersive Theater Event at The Victorian
This week I was invited to attend HBO Home Entertainment’s immersive theatrical experience inspired by the Emmy-nominated HBO Limited Series BIG LITTLE LIES, which is now available on Blu-ray, DVD and Digital Download. It was hosted at The Victorian which was originally built near the Hotel Miramar in 1892 as the residence of one the neighborhood’s founding families. The two-story building was moved to its current location in 1973. Heritage Square is a prime pocket of nostalgic architecture, with the California Heritage Museum and its sprawling lawn on one side and The Victorian on the other. Completely and carefully renovated, The Victorian has had its main rooms enlarged and added…

The Importance of Finding “Down Time”
#MomSneak. America has spoken: 97% of moms say that they had more time for themselves before motherhood, and now, three-quarters (71%) of moms admit to sneaking in TV “me-time” while juggling a busy schedule, with some even hiding from their kids for just a moment of peace. With moms doing it anywhere and everywhere in the neighborhood when the kids aren’t around, sneaking is the new bingeing. Luckily, my husband is pretty good about knowing when I need a little alone downtime and let’s me go catch a show or two with no distractions. He’ll usually take our daughter to the pool while I catch a new movie or show on…
