The Muddy Puddles Project Brings Awareness and Support to Pediatric Cancer
Some of you might know that my daughter’s nickname is PigPen! From the time she was teeny tiny and when I would pick her up from preschool she usually looked like she rolled around in the dirt. One time in preschool, I somehow lost my mind and put her in these adorable white jeans. Um, not a good idea. When I came to pick her up, she literally looked like she had rolled in mud all day long… thus the name PigPen. But I figured a messy kid was a happy kid so I haven’t stressed too much about over the years. I just know better to not…

I love planning parties. It’ s my passion in life! When my friend hired me to create her sons lost boys themed first birthday party I was so excited to get started! I love seeing people’s vision for their party come to life in a unique and affordable way. The first thing I always do when planning a party is figure out the theme and color palette. For this lost boys birthday party we went with neutral colors also incorporating green for Peter Pan and the lost boys. I always focus on my main centerpiece first which is usually the dessert and candy table. I figure out what’s…

Empowering Girls to Live Up to their Full Potential in a Refugee Camp
In honor of International Women’s Day 2 weeks ago, this post is dedicated to all the women and girls around the world who are working hard everyday and are persevering to have equal rights and opportunities. While volunteering in the refugee camp of Piraeus in Athens Greece, I noticed many teenage boys did not believe their teenage girl peers could for play football (soccer), volleyball and other activities. Being a teenage girl myself, these stereotypes bothered me so much that we tried our best to break these stereotypes and encourage the other girls to do the same. My family and I started by primarily empowering girls to believe in themselves…
