Supporting #HopeForOurDaughters
Though I watched the new movie Suffragettes a few weeks back, it has really stuck with me. It has made me really think about and appreciate what our ancestors did to make the right to vote for women a reality. Many women fought and lost their lives, many were jailed and suffered so that women today could have the basic right to vote. It seems hard to believe that in some countries women are still fighting this battle. As part of the Suffragette’s movement, we have some interesting facts about firsts for women in armed forces, as well a special video this week called #HopeForOurDaughters that looks at injustices we must still overcome. A Suffragette Timeline:…

Prana Clothing Provides the Freedom to #JustBeYou
Since before the dawn of time, moms have enjoyed their athletic wear. Sounds like the opening of a rather interesting story. I’m kidding, but truthfully, on those days you just don’t have time to get dressed up or feel like it, there is nothing better than a comfortable but stylish outfit. I have tried so many different athletic brands over the years and the one I keep coming back to is Prana. Prana offers clothing that is comfortable for any type of lifestyle and activity. Tips for Raising a Good Dog
I’ve mentioned that I grew up with pets my whole life. There were always a few cats and dogs, with a couple goldfish around the house and one year we had around 15 animals in our home. Yikes right?! But I wouldn’t change any of that chaos as to this day I adore my furry family and really do look at them as part of our family. But just like raising good kids, we need to make sure we take the time to teach our pets, especially dogs, to be a good family member. I have studied dog trainer…

The PicCollage App and HP Help Create Memories
Last year I heard from a friend who is pretty tech savvy about this really cool app that lets you create fun collages from your photographs. I was looking for an easy way to create cards and quotes from photographs I had taken. The PicCollage app is really easy to use and this is coming from someone not particularly that tech savvy! I made this one from a day at the beach. There are over 100 million people who use PicCollage to combine photos, Youtube videos, funky fonts, sassy stickers and cute cutouts to create the prettiest collages you’ll ever see on a mobile device. They have stickers from Sanrio and LA-based independent designer, Sara…

8 Suggestions For Raising Eco-Friendly Children
That favorite expression of toddlerhood conjures up memories of fist pounding and shoe kicking tantrums. Whether you were in the grocery store aisle or in the sandbox at the local park, it is stressful and disheartening for parents to witness this self-centeredness. However, like most childhood stages, this eventually passes and leads to wonderful opportunities to raise eco-friendly children who are compassionate about others and the environment. By starting in our homes and working with our children, we can implement simple measures and begin instilling techniques to raise awareness about stewardship in relation to our planet. This helps our youth grasp the impact we have on our environment and,…
