Musings :: The Importance of Doing
The Mom It Forward crew asked their mom blogger community a few weeks ago to participate in the United Nations Federation and 92Y #GivingTuesday event that happens once a year on December 3rd. The premise is to give back to your community in whatever capacity you can. This falls in-line with the concept behind our dandelion moms Project Kindness so we were happy to participate. I wasn’t able to organize our event on December 3rd but we scheduled it for the following Tuesday, December 10th. I figured any time is a good time to give back. A few months back we visited LEGOLAND California and had a chance to stay in the LEGOLAND Resort Hotel. This was part of the promotion I was doing with my children’s book, Penelope the Purple Pirate, and Talk Like a Pirate Day which is September 19th. Orange County Ronald McDonald House Hosts 2nd Toy Drive
TOY DRIVE LIFTS SPIRITS AND BRINGS HOLIDAY CHEER TO FAMILIES AT THE ORANGE COUNTY RONALD McDONALD HOUSE® Recently, I was contacted by someone who works with the Orange County Ronald McDonald House about their 2nd annual toy drive. All the toys donated are given to the children who are staying at a Ronald McDonald House.
