The Perfect Gift for Father’s Day!
Last week my daughter’s teacher gave this adorable succulent gift to the volunteer’s that helped out this year. She had all the children sign the glass vase with their names. I thought this would make the perfect Father’s Day, Mother’s Day, Grandparent’s Day and yes, Teacher Appreciation Day gift! For Father’s Day – you can have your kids write Happy Father’s Day and then have them sign it. Or whatever strikes your fancy! A favorite quote perhaps? Bonding Over Old-School Classics
Image found on awn My younger brother and I couldn’t wait for Saturday cartoons and our morning would usually start around 6:30 am, him in his Superhero Underoo’s (remember those?), our cereal bowls filled with Fruity Pebbles or Lucky Charms (our favorites) and we would watch cartoons until about noon. It is great sharing these old school cartoons and movies with my daughter. I think part of the appeal for parents to share toys, TV shows and movies they grew up with is to show our kids that we were kids once too! Family Is What You Make It!
Families. Today, we are seeing all types of families and they are starting to look less like The Cleavers! What we see today has evolved into a vast range of possibilities. Our family consists of in-laws, cousins, sister-in-laws, with a few adorable kids thrown in as well. And since we celebrate both Christian and Jewish holidays we can be found honoring both religions around the holidays with Passover, Easter, Christmas and Hanukah.
