Bringing Beauty and Color to Kids in Need – Athens, Greece
While volunteering in a refugee camp in Athens, Greece for 2 months, I met many adorable children with bright smiles and kind laughs. The kids enjoyed games, activities, school and anything where you showed affection and love towards them. Since I have a passion for art, I started to draw henna-like designs on the kids. Everyone loved the drawings and soon enough I had children lined up for them. The girls adored having pretty flower and mandala designs on their hands. We had a chance to check out Disney’s new film Pete’s Dragon last weekend and absolutely fell in love with everything about this movie. I am such a sucker for dragons and the whole time watching this film I kept thinking that I wanted a dragon as a friend too! Disney is such the master at making heartfelt movies and this one is no exception. The highlight of my family’s one month trip to South Africa this spring was our self-drive safari in Addo Elephant Park. South Africa offers many different types of safaris throughout the country – from luxurious one week safaris to the one-day self-drive ones. Season 1 of Beat Bugs Premieres August 3rd on Netflix
Netflix, Grace: A Storytelling Company (Grace), Thunderbird and Beyond Screen Production (Beyond) announced that seven more artists have signed on to participate in Beat Bugs, the new Netflix original series for kids that will bring families together over the music of The Beatles. Writer and Director Josh Wakely also confirmed at the Netflix Television Critics Association panel that the animated show, premiering August 3, has been renewed for a second season, premiering worldwide November 18.
