Adventures in the Wadi Rum Desert, Jordan
During our visit to Jordan, we went on one of the most memorable journeys of my life – an overnight trip to the Wadi Rum desert. It was a two-hour drive from Petra, where we had made our home base for 2 weeks, to Wadi Rum. We arrived to the little town right outside the desert and met the Bedouin owner of the camp who invited us in for tea and explained our journey. We then met the Bedouin guide who would drive us through the mystical desert all day and the later to our tent where we would spend the night. As we ventured on our journey in…

Exploring Astronomy with Usborne Books & More
Astronomy: (n) the study of stars, planets, and space. (Usborne Illustrated Dictionary, 2014) The sky is full of mystery and intrigue. It keeps us looking up and asking questions and fires up the imaginations of children all over the world. Most nights, there is something to see in the sky. Something new. Something you haven’t discovered yet. Something that has changed from the last time you saw it. Like the Wolf Moon on January 23rd – it’s a full moon and the only night of the month that the moon is in the sky all night long. I think there is a moment for every child when they fall in…
