A Little Kindness Never Gets Old. That is the catch-phrase of the Netflix original series, Derek, staring Ricky Gervais, an English nursing home caretaker who only sees the good in people. Wouldn’t life be easier if we all had this sunny disposition and saw only the good?! This month as we are preparing our children for returning to school, Netflix took a cue from Derek and compiled a list of titles that help teach our kids about kindness and acceptance. Next in our Home Challenge of de-cluttering and redecorating in 28 days (on a dime) is a space we all spend a lot of time in – our living area. It’s A Girl! PBS Kids Daniel Tiger Welcomes A Baby Sister!
We love Daniel Tiger’s neighborhood because it teaches children about everyday life in a gentle and fun environment! On August 18th, PBS Kids is welcoming a new kid to the neighborhood with the arrival of Daniel Tiger’s new baby sister, Margaret. The season begins with a week full of new episodes that follow many of the important issues young children face with a new sibling. We had a chance to interview Angela C. One way to do this quite effectively is by using positive reinforcement as often as possible. Day Two :: Get Your Home Decluttered in 28 Days
Today we will work on the front entryway – inside the home. Yesterday we worked on the front doorstep – raked leaves, pine needles, and cleaned things up front so when you come home the first thing you see is a shiny and clean front area. If you are inclined, why not get some inexpensive flowers at Home Depot or Lowe’s and plant them next to your door so they are the first thing you see when you leave the house and when you come back to the house.
