Nintendo Releases New Games Geared Towards Girls!
This holiday season Nintendo has come out with two new games compatible on the Nintendo 3DS, Nintendo 3DS XL, or Nintendo 2DS that are geared towards girls. In 2013, Nintendo claimed that 50% of its users were female so I am happy to see they are making games with them in mind! My daughter announced to her first grade class last year during Show-n-Tell that she wanted to be a gamer when she grows up. Released today by PBS Kids, THOMAS & FRIENDS Watch and Play is designed for preschoolers and available on iPhone, iPad and iPod touch! This is the first-ever Thomas app to offer full-length episodes, in addition to games that promote key problem-solving skills for preschoolers as they build, fix and create train tracks and scenes. Tech :: Leap Into Gaming with LeapTV
Leap Frog has been the go-to company for many parents because their educational toys and games are really well made and designed. My daughter learned how to read with their LeapReader and we have used their games on several occasions. Recently, LeapFrog has leaped into gaming with their new LeapTV that teaches core skills across a variety of subjects including: reading, mathematics, science and problem solving. Recently, we had a chance to try out The Amazing Zhus, a new set of toys from Cepia, LLC, maker of the popular Zhu Zhu Pets. They provided us with a sneak peek at the mesmerizing mice that will soon be entertaining kids everywhere! The toys are really well-made and durable which is a good thing when little hands are playing with them!
