David Milchard Stars in Family Movie Russell Madness
Last week I had a chance to speak to David Milchard about his work with Convos with My Two Year-Old and his new film Russell Madness by Air Bud Entertainment. David Milchard is an award winning actor, improviser, comedian, writer, director and producer. That’s right, he does all that and still has the time to call his mother. He’s also a singer-songwriter-guitar player. Is he lying? No. He is perhaps best-known for the award winning YouTube hit, Convos With My Two-Year-Old, with over 60 million views. He is also the winner of the 2014 Best Actor Streamy Award. The Streamy Awards are awarded to the best in online video and the creators…

Medieval Times: A Knight To Remember
The moment you enter a Medieval Times castle you are transported to the 11th century and a time of knights and nobility, surrounded by grand décor and regal characters. I was invited to attend an event at Medieval Times in Buena Park, California to get a behind-the-scenes look at what goes into making Medieval Times the #1 dinner attraction in North America. Hours before the show, the castle was bustling with people preparing for the evening event. We toured the main areas of the castle first where we received an up-close look at the knights and horses practicing their routines in the arena before the show. The team trains daily…

February is National Hot Breakfast Month and Krusteaz has officially named every Wednesday in February “Breakfast Night”! According to Krusteaz, a national survey found that nine out of ten Americans say they eat breakfast for dinner, with 56 percent doing so at least once a month. For families, the trend is even more prevalent as 67 percent of respondents with children in the household say they have breakfast for dinner once a month or more. A variety of factors contribute to the rising popularity of breakfast for dinner, with the main appeal being ease of preparation versus a traditional dinner meal (43 percent). For families especially, it’s also “a fun way…

Family-Friendly Hiking in Orange County
If you’re looking for something more adventurous than a walk around the block, here are three great locations for you to visit with your family. My kids are 3 and 6 (and sometimes lazy) but these are some of the adventures that inspired their legs to keep moving! Bommer Canyon – I knew there was a trail near Turtle Rock Nature Center, I just wasn’t sure where. So we parked at Turtle Rock and followed the trail signs. We ended up taking the paved pedestrian path, the Shady Canyon Trail, to the Bommer Canyon Trailhead in Bommer Meadow. There is a small parking lot there at the trailhead near…
