6 Gorgeous and Unique Fall Centerpieces
I really do just love this time of year! From the Fall weather (though you wouldn’t know it out here in Southern California – yes, I am complaining of the heat wave mid October!) to fall fashion and home décor. This year I wanted to get some ideas for some pretty centerpieces that I could make through the holidays. Here are some of my favorites! Add in some fruit: This is such a pretty centerpiece. I love how they used a silver pitcher as the vase. This design comes from Rosa Beltran Design. Use a Pumpkin: This centerpiece was used for a wedding but I love how they used a cream…

DIY: Scarecrow on a Stick
My son and I love to do these types of crafts. The arms and legs can move into fun poses and it’s on a stick so you can ‘plant’ them everywhere. The scarecrow is a favorite for our fall decor. You can find him between apples and pumpkins or pretty fall leaves. I have a pattern ready for you to download, print and color. You can add googly eyes, yarn for hair – be creative! Basic Scarecrow: You will need: 4 Brass Prong Paper File Fasteners card stock to print on scissors clear tape a stick markers, crayons, pencils Print out the Scarecrow template. I like to color it first and…

Planning Meals around Organic and Locally-Sourced Foods
This post is sponsored by Foster Farms®, the opinions expressed are my own. Lately we have been trying to add locally-grown vegetables to our recipes and I have been making the trip to our local farm a couple times a month to check out their fresh produce. I love that the strawberries are picked that day and the vegetables about every two days. I remember my surprise when the zucchini still had the prickly hairs on them. They offer a wide range of vegetables and fresh herbs that you can pick right there! I think that is my daughter’s favorite part of the trip. She’ll grab…

“Exploring what it means to be alive, that’s what storytelling is all about.” ~ Brad Bird You know when you meet someone and as you speak with them you are blown away with their creativity and insight into humanity?
