What’s Hot In Southern California: Knott’s Berry Farm Boysenberry Festival: This spring, celebrate Knott’s delicious roots during its Boysenberry Festival harvested in the theme park’s historic Ghost Town. The 16-day festival returns with an unforgettable lineup of exquisite Boysenberry Bites, dazzling entertainment, gourmet food and the Wine and Craft Brew Tasting Garden, plus the limited time return of the classic Bear-y Tales characters in a pie making kitchen, and more! I love exploring the park during this festival and tasting all the yummy food they are offering – especially the boysenberry pie and Mrs. Knott’s famous fried chicken – yum! Medieval Times: A Knight To Remember
The moment you enter a Medieval Times castle you are transported to the 11th century and a time of knights and nobility, surrounded by grand décor and regal characters. I was invited to attend an event at Medieval Times in Buena Park, California to get a behind-the-scenes look at what goes into making Medieval Times the #1 dinner attraction in North America. Hours before the show, the castle was bustling with people preparing for the evening event. We toured the main areas of the castle first where we received an up-close look at the knights and horses practicing their routines in the arena before the show. The team trains daily…

Family-Friendly Hiking in Orange County
If you’re looking for something more adventurous than a walk around the block, here are three great locations for you to visit with your family. My kids are 3 and 6 (and sometimes lazy) but these are some of the adventures that inspired their legs to keep moving! Bommer Canyon – I knew there was a trail near Turtle Rock Nature Center, I just wasn’t sure where. So we parked at Turtle Rock and followed the trail signs. We ended up taking the paved pedestrian path, the Shady Canyon Trail, to the Bommer Canyon Trailhead in Bommer Meadow. There is a small parking lot there at the trailhead near…

The Rancho Bernardo Inn Provides a Unique Experience
We had a chance to check out the Rancho Bernardo Inn last weekend as part of their INNfluencer program and was delighted to spend my (forever 28) birthday weekend there! Located in San Diego in a rather quaint neighborhood (you drive through several neighborhoods to get to the serene resort), you are immediately put at ease by the warm and welcoming vibe of the resort. I had visited Rancho Bernardo Inn for the first time last November for a work-related event and vowed to come back as I truly fell in love with the place! On their website they state It’s a place to visit again and again, each time…

A Moment with Artist Carmen Salazar of Siemon and Salazar
It was early December, about ten years ago, while staring at my computer screen, my then-boss suddenly announced that he had gifts for the staff! The gifts were not wrapped but it didn’t need it. He handed me a beautiful hand blown, tear shaped glass vessel that was lovingly patterned with alternating stripes of deep crimson and merlot. He then told us that a good friend of his made them, and that his friend and his wife were actually having their annual warehouse sale that very night! Upon arrival at their studio, I was immediately taken by beautiful concrete steppingstones and twinkle-lit olive trees that lined the walkway towards…
