What’s Hot in Southern California :: The VamPirates Show in Buena Park
This past weekend my husband and I attended the Vampirates show with my daughter and her friend. It might sound scary but they just loved it! They combined pirates and vampires to create the Vampirates show with some amazing stunts, aerial performances, sword fighting and even a Haka dance! Here is a description of the show: Come celebrate at Treasure Bay’s Annual Masquerade Ball with vampire hunters Randolph & Kate. They are there to forewarn the costume-clad guests of the dangers lurking in the haunted Secret Cove. Unfortunately, their cries of despair go unheard, as Captain Sebastian the Black and his horde of Vampire Pirates crash the Ball and…

This weekend we plan to attend the Vampirates Show put on by the crew at the Pirates Dinner Adventure in Buena Park. What’s Hot in Southern California :: Knott’s Camp Spooky Halloween Event
If you grew up in southern California you probably have visited Knott’s Berry Farm theme park as a kid. I loved going to Knott’s and remember eating the yummy pie and funnel cakes. It is quite the bargain and we have full access to the park year-round (and even the water park) for under $200. Last time my daughter and I went to Knott’s Berry Farm we headed to the famous Mrs. Knott’s Restaurant and ate a delicious plate of fried chicken and her famous pie. We even…

What’s Hot in Southern California :: Tanaka Farms
One of the first things I wanted to do after my daughter was born was to take her to Tanaka Farms Pumpkin Patch during the month of October. For many years while we were trying to conceive, I would see all the moms and children walking around Strawberry Farms and wished that someday I could take my own child to all of the activities they host over the year – especially during the month of October as I love Halloween and they offer a great petting zoo, a large selection of pumpkins and fun knick knacks for sale. Halloween is one of my favorite holidays and sharing this with my child was something I was really looking forward…
