Some super cool gadgets for the men in our lives who have everything this Father’s Day (and beyond). That’s right mama’s, move over and get ready to let Dad/Brother/Father/Uncle [et al] become “King for the Day” where they can relax and have you wait on them hand and foot and even fan them while eating grapes (I jest; however, that sounds like a LOT of their days *lol*)! Seriously though, here’s some little sumtin’s that may be nifty enough to give the man/men in your life who say they have everything they need (or seriously DO have everything) that you wouldn’t find at your local square box store. …

Entering the World of Mom Bloggers at the Mom 2.0 Summit
This past weekend I attended the Mom 2.0 Summit at The Ritz Carlton in Laguna Niguel where hundreds of women bloggers were looking to connect with other women as well as with the sponsors and partners of the event such as Honda, Whirlpool, and Dove. This was my first Mom Blogger event and I really didn’t know what to expect. Wow – was I impressed! From the quality of key-note speakers to the caliber of women in the…

My Lifetime Love Affair with George Gershwin: I went to a small elementary school and the set of biographies…

Encouraging Our Girls in Science and Math
Many people I know had a an unfounded fear of math in school. My fear surrounding math was a factor when I changed my major in college from a Business Major to a Health Science Degree so I wouldn’t have to take the higher level math classes. I don’t regret getting my degree in Health Science as I have just completed my Masters in Nutrition. But I do have to wonder if I had a supportive counselor or teacher encourage me – I might have been able to overcome my fear of math. Stereotypes About Girls and STEM Careers: There are many stereotypes about girls and STEM (science, technology, engineering, math)…
