What Type of Traveler Are You?
You know those vacations – the ones on a tropical island with nothing around but a white sandy beach, softly-swaying palm trees, and an ice-cold margarita while the crystal clear water gently ripples at your freshly-pedicured toes? Although I LOVE those types of family trips, they are definitely not the reality we have experienced since leaving the comforts of home and traveling full-time!! Instead, our travels include exploring amazing sights, from the crumbling and ancient to the sparkling new, learning about the local culture, trying new foods, getting lost with the locals in remote villages, having to struggle our way in a foreign language just to order a bottle of…

Disneyland’s 60th Diamond Celebration Starts May 22nd
Disneyland Diamond Celebration Begins! Every year we save up to get our Disneyland Season Passes because we love heading over there for an afternoon stroll after school or during holiday breaks. And it wouldn’t be (my) birthday celebration without spending the day there with my crew! It is such a magical place and every time I walk through the gates I immediately turn into my eight year old self. It is so exciting to hear they are celebrating their 60th Anniversary this year and boy, do they have a ton of fun activities planned! Hope you can stop by the park and enjoy the celebrations! The Hyatt Regency Scottsdale Resort & Spa is Fun for the Whole Family!
At the end of April I attended the Mom 2.0 Summit in Scottsdale, Arizona. I stayed at the Hyatt Scottsdale Resort & Spa at Gainey Ranch and absolutely fell in love with all the unique sites and fun activities they offer families. I plan to come back with my family as I know my daughter would go crazy for their large waterslide! After driving a good 5 hours it was nice to be welcomed so warmly by the staff at The Hyatt Scottsdale. Walking into the front lobby was quite breathtaking as it overlooked the courtyard and you could see the gorgeous desert mountains. There are over 493 rooms at the…

Mother’s Day Special at Medieval Times in Buena Park
We enjoyed a show at The Medieval Times last year and really had a blast! You can read more about our experience here. And our dandelion moms contributor, Heidi Deal, had a chance to go backstage and met the trainers, knights and even the horses! Read more about her visit here. I love how you can turn this family-friendly experience into an educational one as they offer tons of resources for parents and educators to use before and during their visit. Well, I am super excited to see that Medieval Times Dinner & Tournament in Buena Park, they think all moms are special. That’s why Mom is free* for…

Important Life Skills Kids (and Parents!) Learn While Traveling – Part 1
The initial motivations for my family’s around-the-world journey were that it would be an amazing chance to spend time together as a family and a great education for our kids. Yet, I could have never predicted all the invaluable life skills they would be learning along the way!
