March 26th is National Purple Day that was created in 2008 by Cassidy Megan, a nine year old girl from Nova Scotia, Canada, who told her mother she wanted to create a day that would help people with epilepsy not feel alone. Cassidy knew first-hand what it felt like to be isolated as she was never invited over for sleepovers by her classmates due to her epilepsy condition.
