    The Book App Alliance is a Great Resource for Parents

      About two years ago I was approached by a group of authors who wanted to form a new organization that would help parents and teachers find quality storybook apps in the App Store.   I was game to get on board since I know how tough it is for parents to sift through the thousands of apps available and I wanted to be a part of an organization that supports indie authors!  The Book App Alliance was created by leading authors who create interactive books for kids.  We have found that many parents and teachers are confused about digital books (eBook vs. book app), how to use them, and how to go about finding hidden gems in the App Store.       We had one of those nights last night.  You know where your child is up in the middle of the night and can’t seem to get settled.  Needless to say we didn’t get much sleep, so we are planning a relaxing day after school and headed to see the new Disney movie Frozen.  I can’t wait as I have heard from several of my mom friends that this is a really great movie and that they even cried at the end!  So we are super excited about reviewing the new Frozen app created by Disney.  The first page opens up and we see the two main characters, Princess Anna and her older sister…
