The 12th Annual Art in the Park takes place Saturday, October 10 from 10:00 to 4:00 on the Civic Green at the Newport Beach Civic Center, 100 Civic Center Dr., Newport Beach. The Newport Beach Arts Foundation sponsors this free event. A few months ago my daughter and I were checking out a new shopping center called the SoCo as a friend told me there was a shop there that had the best coffee in town. Now that’s a pretty big statement so I figured I would check it out. The center has some really fantastic and trendy shops and the design of the shopping area is very cool. There are conversations you have with people that make you stop and sit back and reflect. These conversations happen all the time but they sometimes come when you are least expecting it. The other day I was thinking about how much work I had to do and was feeling very behind.
