CAN YOUR FAMILY COME OUT AND PLAY? Play It Forward, a “Spook”tacular FUNdraiser for Creativity Benefitting the Chuck Jones Center for Creativity     “It looks like you’re having fun,” was one of the highest compliments given by famed artist, author, and educator, Don Graham, to his students when the work they were doing showed promise. Chuck Jones Center for Creativity Thanksgiving Camp

    November 9, 2014 /

“I believe that all children will learn the joy of drawing if encouraged by ample materials, and love strong enough from their parents–and it must be very strong–to refrain from the well-intended but deadly use of unqualified criticism or excessive praise during the very early, very crucial, very creative years of childhood.” –Chuck Jones   Have fun at the Chuck Jones Center for Creativity Camp over Thanksgiving Break: Join the Chuck Jones Center for Creativity Camp the week of Thanksgiving. They have designed a 3-day camp to give kids an array of endeavors such as painting, drawing and music. The Chuck Jones Center for Creativity

    February 5, 2013 /

A few months ago my daughter and I were checking out a new shopping center called the SoCo as a friend told me there was a shop there that had the best coffee in town.  Now that’s a pretty big statement so I figured I would check it out.  The center has some really fantastic and trendy shops and the design of the shopping area is very cool.  I felt a bit like a hipster for the day which doesn’t happen too often these days.  We came across The Chuck Jones Center for Creativity that had a large statue of the Road Runner and Bugs Bunny out front.   Inside the walls of the center…

    Musings

    January 27, 2013 /

There are conversations you have with people that make you stop and sit back and reflect.  These conversations happen all the time but they sometimes come when you are least expecting it.  The other day I was thinking about how much work I had to do and was feeling very behind.  I try to get as much of my work done while my daughter is in kindergarten but since she is only in school a short time – some days this happens and some days not.  It is a juggling act being a mom as many of you know. So all these thoughts are going through my mind as I…
