Dandelion Moms Project Kindness :: Helping an Autism Center

    July 23, 2018 /

Dandelion Moms Project Kindness was created in order to support local, national and even worldwide organizations.  A few years back our community sent a small town in the Dominican Republic over 250 books so they could open up a town library.  Together, we helped raised over 300 Project Night Night tote bags that were given out to children in shelters across the country and supported the #LikeAGirl campaign that empowers young girls.  These are just some of the organizations that that our community has helped and it is something that is dear to my heart.  This month I was asked by a long-time dandelion mom if our community could help…

Teen Brothers Launch Double Peak In Order to Give Back

    December 11, 2017 /

Teenage brothers Connor (16) and Sean (13) Jabbar launched their venture Double Peak on December 1, 2017. Their idea was to combine their passion for the outdoors and boarding with their desire to give back to communities. Double Peak is a lifestyle based clothing line that donates its entire proceeds to charitable causes. “We started Double Peak to share our passion of the outdoors, give back to causes in communities and start an exchange and a voice for things that happen everyday in our world. As most “boarders” know, the peak is the best part of the ride. It’s where you feel alive, free and weightless….as if you can…

It’s No “Wonder” Why We #ChooseKind

    June 11, 2017 /

We are so excited as a family to see “Wonder” coming to the big screen this November. My daughter read the book last year and fell in love with it and connected as well with it. She talked about “Wonder” from the time she started until she put it down – and it’s continued on. She even commented on several occasions that they should: “make it a movie”. And voila! Now it’s come to fruition. I’m writing this as a prod to go and see it when it comes out; although before that happens I highly recommend if you haven’t (or even if you have) to read the book [or…

The Muddy Puddles Project Brings Awareness and Support to Pediatric Cancer

    April 3, 2017 /

Some of you might know that my daughter’s nickname is PigPen!  From the time she was teeny tiny and when I would pick her up from preschool she usually looked like she rolled around in the dirt.  One time in preschool, I somehow lost my mind and put her in these adorable white jeans.  Um, not a good idea.  When I came to pick her up, she literally looked like she had rolled in mud all day long… thus the name PigPen.  But I figured a messy kid was a happy kid so I haven’t stressed too much about over the years.   I just know better to not…

Dandelion Moms Project Kindness :: Helping End Poverty and Hunger with Heifer International

    November 14, 2014 /

Image courtesy of goatshowdoc   It is so exciting to have the holiday season upon us, and for many families this is a time filled with festivity and fun. Unfortunately, for the more than 800 million people in the world that go to bed hungry every night, this time of year isn’t filled with the joy that it should be. Together we can change that, by giving a gift this holiday that can make a meaningful difference for a family in need. Heifer International is a nonprofit community development organization dedicated to helping end hunger and poverty while working to protect the environment and care for the Earth. Since 1944,…
