It’s A Girl! PBS Kids Daniel Tiger Welcomes A Baby Sister!

    August 8, 2014 /

We love Daniel Tiger’s neighborhood because it teaches children about everyday life in a gentle and fun environment!  On August 18th, PBS Kids is welcoming a new kid to the neighborhood with the arrival of Daniel Tiger’s new baby sister, Margaret.  The season begins with a week full of new episodes that follow many of the important issues young children face with a new sibling.   We had a chance to interview Angela C. Santomero, creator of Daniel Tiger’s Neighborhood, in our Inspirational Moms section last year where she talks about her inspiration behind creating such great hits like Daniel Tiger’s Neighborhood and Blue’s Clues.  Below are helpful tips…

Parenting :: Tips to Help Families Celebrate the Seasons Together

    November 26, 2013 /

The holidays can mean BIG stress for little ones, just as they can for adults – from changes in the daily routine to family squabbles and more. To help keep the season running smoothly for everyone, Angela Santomero, creator and executive producer of top-rated preschool series Daniel Tiger’s Neighborhood and a child development expert for more than 20 years – as well as a mom herself, has some terrific tips to share. We had a chance to interview Ms. Santomero, and I love how she combines her knowledge of childhood development to create outstanding shows for our children to enjoy and learn from. Labor Day is Neighbor Day on PBS Kids Daniel Tiger

    September 2, 2013 /

One of the things I am most passionate about is helping to spread more kindness into the world!  Like the seeds of a dandelion, you can never know how an act of kindness will change or affect someone’s life.  That is one of the reason we created the dandelion moms project kindness and feature individuals and companies helping to spread kindness and good deeds towards others and how our lovely dandelion moms can help.   That is why I am so excited to tell you about PBS Kids Daniel Tiger episode that airs tomorrow, Labor Day, that teaches children about kindness towards their neighbors.  Anything that encourages our kids to treat others the…

Inspirational Mom: Angela Santomero, Creator of Super Why

    May 10, 2013 /

My daughter and I have been watching Super Why since she was about three years old.  I love how educational the program is with the Super Readers characters as well as the catchy music.  So when I had a chance to speak to the mastermind behind this show as well as Blues Clues and the new Daniel Tigers neighborhood – I jumped at the chance.  It is always interesting in hear how people started out in their respective industries.  Angela Santomero is the creator of all three shows and is the Founding Partner and Chief Creative Officer of Out of the Blue Enterprises LLC.  She also created and hosts a new…
