Tips for Spending Quality Time with the Family

    June 6, 2018 /

We like to enjoy a family night-in about once a week.  Usually it falls on a Friday or Saturday night and it’s a great time for us to spend time together, whether we are playing board games, cards (my daughter is extremely lucky… ) or watching a movie together, I do treasure these moments as I anticipate it might get harder to have my soon-to-be teenager to want to “hang with the parents.”  I think though that teens, especially teens, still need this family time to reconnect and stay grounded during these rather whirlwind years. One of our new favorite movies, A Wrinkle in Time, will appeal to just about every family.…

“The Finest Hours” Out January 2016

    November 12, 2015 /

THE FINEST HOURS  I really enjoy movies based on actual events and the heroic action-thriller, “The Finest Hours” is the remarkable true story of the most daring rescue mission in the history of the Coast Guard. I can’t wait to see this movie and be on the edge of my seat I am sure!  The film will transport audiences to the heart of the action, creating a fully-immersive cinematic experience on an epic scale.   On February 18, 1952, a massive nor’easter struck New England, pummeling towns along the Eastern seaboard and wreaking havoc on the ships caught in its deadly path, including the SS Pendleton, a T-2 oil tanker bound…

Interview with the Animator of Aladdin’s Genie Eric Goldberg

    October 11, 2015 /

“Seeing characters become larger than life always brings me joy.” ~ Eric Goldberg   One of my favorite parts of the Tomorrowland Media event a few weeks back was our meeting with Greg Goldberg, the Supervising Animator for Genie at the Disney Studios.  He has had a long career as animator, film director and voice actor. It was so wonderful hearing him talk about the process of creating the Genie and about Robin Williams.  You could tell how much he cared for Robin when he told stories about making the movie.  Here are some of our favorite parts of the interview.     Mr. Goldberg said that they tried several different styles for…
