PINKALICIOUS & PETERRIFIC is coming to PBS Kids next February!
On February 19, 2018, PBS KIDS will premiere PINKALICIOUS & PETERRIFIC (watch a sneak peek here), a new animated series that will encourage children to explore the arts and spark creativity. Produced by WGBH Boston and based on the best-selling HarperCollins Pinkalicious book series by Victoria Kann, this new multiplatform media property will be available nationwide on PBS stations, the new 24/7 PBS KIDS channel and PBS KIDS digital platforms. Get ready to embark on electrifying, brand-new, word-fueled adventures when WordGirl, the Emmy Award-winning animated TV series from Scholastic Media, makes its Season 7 debut, Monday, August 4, on PBS KIDS (check local listings)! WordGirl is one of our favorite PBS Kids shows! I really like that she teaches children about the meaning of words through her adventuring. I love how life can be so serendipitous (a word you would find on WordGirl). While walking to breakfast at the PBS annual meeting that I attended this month as part of their PBS Kids Ambassador Program, I happened to be walking next to a woman who was also going to breakfast. We started talking and turns out she is the Executive Producer of Curious George but she explained that her “baby” is WordGirl. I literally stopped in my tracks as we are big fans of WordGirl!
