The oath is only 35 words long: I do solemnly swear that I will faithfully execute the office of President of the United States and will to…

Mummies: Secrets from the Tomb
I love history. And my children are quite interested in happenings of the past, too, so it’s turning out that we make a pretty good team of explorers. So this year as part of our social studies, I purchased the Story of the World by Susan Wise Bauer. Story of the World comes in four volumes: Ancient Times, The Middle Ages, Early Modern Times, and the Modern Age. We started at the beginning with Ancient times and kicked things off with cavemen. A Perfect Book for Explorers! Each fact-filled page features a map with a unique focus. The book is broken up into six categories: Land, Sea and Air; Living World; People and Planet; Engineering and Technology; History; and Culture.…

The Latest & Greatest :: Travels with Gannon & Wyatt
“Travel is fatal to prejudice, bigotry, and narrow-mindedness,” ~ Mark Twain (1835-1910), author of Tom Sawyer, and Adventures of Huckleberry Finn. It is funny, I was just thinking the other day about how my travels after college really helped open my eyes to the ways of the world. I grew up in Orange County, California and went off to college in Northern Califronia, but it wasn’t until I packed my bags and lived abroad for three years that I started to see the world and myself differently. Traveling was the best thing I could have done to add to my education. I still love to travel and look forward…
