IMAX Documentary – APOLLO 11: FIRST STEPS EDITION

    July 9, 2019 /

Timed to the 50th anniversary of NASA’s celebrated Apollo 11 mission, Apollo 11: First Steps Edition is a thrilling cinematic experience that showcases the real-life moments of humankind’s first steps on the Moon.  I have always been quite fascinated by our trips to the moon and I can’t wait to see this documentary as The California Science Center this month. In this special giant-screen edition of Todd Douglas Miller’s critically acclaimed Apollo 11 documentary, created exclusively for science centers and museum theaters, the filmmakers reconstruct the exhilarating final moments of preparation, liftoff, landing and return of this historic mission—one of humanity’s greatest achievements and the first to put men on the Moon.  With a newly-discovered trove…

Scott Lang’s Fun at Home Tips

    October 8, 2018 /

In celebration of ANT-MAN & THE WASP coming out on Blu-ray October 16th, Walt Disney Studios and Scott Lang (aka: ANT-MAN) sent us some ideas and goodies to make spending the night in with the crew loads of fun!  If you’ve seen the movie, you probably remember how Scott (Paul Rudd) was under house arrest and had to keep himself (and his daughter) entertained.  Who can forget that incredible fort they built?!   Our family usually spends at least one night in together on a weekend night and I am loving the ideas they sent over.  You know how it is, sometimes you need a little inspiration for…

Dandelion Moms Project Kindness :: Helping an Autism Center

    July 23, 2018 /

Dandelion Moms Project Kindness was created in order to support local, national and even worldwide organizations.  A few years back our community sent a small town in the Dominican Republic over 250 books so they could open up a town library.  Together, we helped raised over 300 Project Night Night tote bags that were given out to children in shelters across the country and supported the #LikeAGirl campaign that empowers young girls.  These are just some of the organizations that that our community has helped and it is something that is dear to my heart.  This month I was asked by a long-time dandelion mom if our community could help…
