What’s Hot in Southern California :: Rancho Bernardo Inn

    November 19, 2014 /

A few weeks back I had the chance to stay at the lovely Rancho Bernardo Resort Inn in San Diego for a night.  I must say it is one of my favorite new places to stay!  The resort is really laid-back yet has all the amenities you need – like a wonderful spa, amazing golf course, beautiful fountains throughout, outdoor fireplaces, and the food is quite good.     After spending some time laying by the pool I came back to my room to find a plate filled with chocolate chip cookies and milk.  Talk about great service.  I felt so spoiled eating my cookie and drinking my milk but oh,…

    Apple Picking in Southern California

    October 23, 2014 /

Image courtesy of Flickr When I think about fall I can’t help but think of the beautiful reds and yellows of the changing leaves, and the thoughts of pumpkins and apples fill my mind.  I love the way the air finally feels crisp in the early morning, and the scent of cinnamon is in the air.  I want my children to have those same memories, and the feelings of joy and excitement this season brings.  However, fall is a hard thing to come by in Southern California.  With the temperatures still well in the 80’s, and the only color leaves we see are green or brown, we have to head…
