Disney Pixar “The Good Dinosaur” Activity Sheets & Games

    October 27, 2015 /

As a kid I was completely fascinated by dinosaurs.  It just seemed amazing to me that creatures that big once ruled the Earth! And then over time, poof!, they were gone.  I don’t think my mind at that time comprehended the damage an asteroid could do to our planet – and it stills seems pretty daunting don’t you think?  My daughter shares this love of dinosaurs and we are really excited to see the new Disney Pixar movie The Good Dinosaur out next month.   “The Good Dinosaur” asks the question: What if the asteroid that forever changed life on Earth missed the planet completely and giant dinosaurs…

    October 14, 2015 /

My son and I love to do these types of crafts. The arms and legs can move into fun poses and it’s on a stick so you can ‘plant’ them everywhere. The scarecrow is a favorite for our fall decor. You can find him between apples and pumpkins or pretty fall leaves. I have a pattern ready for you to download, print and color. You can add googly eyes, yarn for hair – be creative!   Basic Scarecrow: You will need: 4 Brass Prong Paper File Fasteners card stock to print on scissors clear tape a stick markers, crayons, pencils Print out the Scarecrow template. Knott’s Spooky Farm : Fun for the Whole Family!

    October 13, 2015 /

Image courtesy of Knott’s Berry Farm. Last weekend we had a chance to check out the new Knott’s Spooky Farm and loved every minute of it.  Going on every weekend for the month of October, Knott’s Spooky Farm is a daytime event and a non-scary celebration of cheer rather than fear with shows and activities all geared for kids ages 3-11. There are a ton of Halloween activities for kids throughout the park. Kids can take part in “Snoopy’s Costume Contest and Dance Party” and also visit the Camp Spooky Theatre to view “The Monsters are Coming, Charlie Brown”, a new Halloween show where everyone will be singing and dancing in the…

Family :: Tis the Season for Some Downtime

    October 8, 2015 /

It seems like every mom I run into these days has a look of “oh, boy, the holidays are almost here!”  This time of year can be so hectic between shuffling the kids to hockey games, helping solve their quadratic equations and giving the little ones their baths, that you might skip doing the things that help keep you in a balanced and calm state. Why not take a walk with some friends?  Or head out to your favorite breakfast sans kids and read a book while enjoying a hot cup of coffee.  Or maybe catch up on some missed episodes – if not full seasons – of some your favorite shows. Did…

Interview with the Stars of Tomorrowland Raffey Cassidy and Thomas Robinson

    October 3, 2015 /

Last week I had a chance to sit down and speak with the stars of Tomorrowland Raffey Cassidy (Athena) and Thomas Robinson (Young Frank) at the Disney Tomorrowland Media Event.  An English child actor, Raffey is known for her roles in Snow White and the Huntsman, Mr. Selfridge, and Tomorrowland. Raffey Cassidy is from Worsley, near Manchester in England. Young Frank, played by Thomas Robinson, is an American actor who can also be seen in The Switch.     It was a roundtable interview and they had about five tables filled with bloggers to talk to.  Our group was the last in line and you would think they would…
