    Fun Summer Ideas for Families-On-The-Go

    June 11, 2017 /

Summer is here!  We officially kicked off summer break last Friday night with a game of volleyball between some moms at school and our respective kids!  And let me tell you, the moms were pretty darn serious about winning!  It was hysterical! Some of the activities our family enjoys over the summer break include hiking, nature walks, spending time at the pool, trips to the beach, Newport Back Bay, Balboa Island, and mini-day trips.  What are some of the things your family likes to do over the summer? One of the things about parenting that to be honest, did come learned the hard way, was that I need…

King Julien Hosts Dance Party & New Year’s Eve Countdown On Netflix

    December 30, 2014 /

New Year’s Eve is just around the corner!  And many of us will change the clocks, blow the noisemakers at 8 p.m., and search for that New Year’s Eve countdown on the other side of the world just so we can celebrate it with our little ones at a decent hour. Many parents will do whatever it takes to give their kids their own New Year’s countdown and get them into bed before the ball actually drops. In fact, more than a third of U.S. parents (34%) admitted to starting the party early to fool their kids into thinking it’s midnight*, citing their kids or their own bedtime as the reason. These…

5 Classic Toys To Keep The Kids Entertained

    July 22, 2014 /

Image courtesy of 9bytz   If your house is anything like mine, tackling a to-do list with two lively kiddos is darn near impossible. Especially if it requires sitting down at the computer. Recently, I really needed to get some things taken care of and started searching the cabinets for entertainment for my little ones. I pulled out the Lite-Brites. Yes, we have the original from way back when, and you know what? They were completely entertained…
