The PicCollage App and HP Help Create Memories
Last year I heard from a friend who is pretty tech savvy about this really cool app that lets you create fun collages from your photographs. I was looking for an easy way to create cards and quotes from photographs I had taken. The PicCollage app is really easy to use and this is coming from someone not particularly that tech savvy! I made this one from a day at the beach. There are over 100 million people who use PicCollage to combine photos, Youtube videos, funky fonts, sassy stickers and cute cutouts to create the prettiest collages you’ll ever see on a mobile device. They have stickers from Sanrio and LA-based independent designer, Sara…

Exploring the Outdoors with Your Kids
Raising Happy and Healthy Kids: What is the best way to keep our kids happy and healthy? Take them outside. Now do not get me wrong, this is not going to be some post about how our kids should never play video games (my daughter loves Minecraft) but we should not live in a society where it is considered a punishment for your kid if you take away the electronic devices and make them go outside to play. What’s for Dinner :: Italian Chopped Salad
With summer upon us it can be tough finding the time (or energy) to make dinner so I have been on the hunt for really simple yet healthy meals I can make in a moments time. Last week I picked up a premade Italian Chopped Salad at the grocery that included all the makings (Romaine Lettuce, Brocolli, Red Cabbage, Green Onions, and Parsley) for a yummy Italian salad. I wasn’t sure how much salami, etc., was included in the package so I went ahead and bought some nitrate-free salami (two types), mozzarella cheese, nitrate and MSG-free turkey and some grape tomatoes. I already had the dressing and Greek olives on…

Family :: Creating Magical Holiday Meals Together
The holidays provide the perfect opportunity to spend quality time together making yummy holidays meals. It is such a wonderful time to pass down family recipes and have your kids help out in the kitchen. Just this past Thanksgiving, I had my daughter help me make the infamous green-bean casserole that my mother use to make every year. It is funny, because as a kid I didn’t really like this dish but now I absolutely love it! We ended up using Campbell’s Cream of Mushroom with garlic (highly recommend) and steamed the fresh green beans before we baked the casserole (also recommend doing this for a minute or two). I…

Tips to Simplify the Holidays
Image courtesy of Flickr The millennial generation has grown up and many have families of their own who will be celebrating the holidays. PBS KIDS tapped into the millennial parent mindset with the Millennial Parent Holiday Wishes Survey and found that these young parents don’t want a high-paced, tech-overloaded holiday this year, but instead a simpler season with less shopping and more family fun. The survey found that 82% crave more family time and 80% want to spend more time playing with their kids this holiday season. Conversely, many of these younger parents want to dial back gift prep and shopping, with 37% saying they would like…
