Body Worlds: Pulse Exhibit Now Open at the California Science Center through February 2018!

    June 2, 2017 /

Come experience the West Coast debut of inventor Dr. Gunther von Hagens’ BODY WORLDS: Pulse — a convergence of aesthetic anatomy, health and wellness.  Take the family and experience this educational and fascinating exhibition!  I’ve always felt that if one understood a bit more about how the body works and the impact certain lifestyle choices affect the body, they might make other choices.  Dr. Gunther von Hagens’ BODY WORLDS: Pulse is a very educational exhibit that the whole family will enjoy.  We’ve got 4 tickets to hand out to experience it firsthand so be sure to enter often!   This special exhibition presents the body in health and distress, its vulnerabilities and…

Field Trippin’ Moms Head to Spain

    January 19, 2017 /

Wanderlust has a cure. We are two moms with three kids each, animals, carpools, sports, volunteering, etc…you know the drill. We are happy to do it all and even enjoy it (most of the time). We are also fortunate enough to have husbands that have encouraged us to embrace our travel dreams! Traveling in January may seem odd to some, but for us, it is ideal because it’s affordable, there are less tourist and it’s off-season for our kids sports.     The Winter Winds called this year and sent us to Madrid, Spain. Visiting Madrid wasn’t at the top of our travel list, but we had the…

Our Rocky Mountain Family Adventure: Part II

    March 8, 2014 /

Looking to send a postcard with a spectacular mountain range, a glacier, or wild animals on it? Then the town of Jasper, located in the heart of Canada’s Rocky Mountains, is the destination for you. Last summer we flew into Calgary and stuffed as much luggage as is humanly possible into a rental car. We strapped three children in the back seat (aged 14, 10, and 8) and headed northwest—256 miles to be exact. The drive along the way was an adventure in itself. Our first stop was in Banff. Our second stop en route to the town of Jasper was the Columbia Icefield. Located in Jasper National Park (one…
