Interview with the Cast and Filmmakers of On The Basis of Sex

    January 11, 2019 /

A few weeks back I had a chance to preview ON THE BASIS OF SEX and interview some of the cast and screenwriter Daniel Stiepleman, who happens to be Ruth Ginsburg nephew.  The movie focuses on Ginsberg’s early years at Harvard, she was in one of the first classes that allowed women, and went on to try the Moritz case in order to set a precedent for discrimination on the basis of sex.  It was ironic that the case was based on a man who was denied a tax write-off as a caretaker because the law at that time assumed only women could be caretakers.  With this case,…

Exclusive Interview with Felicity Jones of A Monster Calls

    January 9, 2017 /

A Monster Calls is a visually spectacular and unabashedly emotional drama from director J.A. Bayona (“The Impossible”). 12-year-old Conor (Lewis MacDougall) is dealing with far more than other boys his age. His beloved and devoted mother (Felicity Jones) is ill. He has little in common with his imperious grandmother (Sigourney Weaver). His father (Toby Kebbell) has resettled thousands of miles away. But Conor finds a most unlikely ally when the Monster (portrayed by Liam Neeson in performance-capture and voiceover) appears at his bedroom window one night. Ancient, wild, and relentless, the Monster guides Conor on a journey of courage, faith, and truth that powerfully fuses imagination and reality.  …

Rogue One: A Star Wars Story out in Theaters December 16th!

    December 14, 2016 /

From Lucasfilm comes the first of the Star Wars standalone films, “Rogue One: A Star Wars Story,” an all-new epic adventure. In a time of conflict, a group of unlikely heroes band together on a mission to steal the plans to the Death Star, the Empire’s ultimate weapon of destruction. This key event in the Star Wars timeline brings together ordinary people who choose to do extraordinary things, and in doing so, become part of something greater than themselves.     I had a chance to check out Rogue One at Walt Disney Studios this week and absolutely loved it!  Star War fans will not be disappointed!  From…
