Culture :: What You Need to Know About Gen-Z

    April 2, 2019 /

“We are on the verge of a generational shift with Gen-Z,” Christopher Wolf, a Goldman Sachs Research analyst, says. “By better understanding Gen-Z, we’ll also be better able to identify the influence that they’re having both economically and more broadly.”     Generation Z will account for 40% of all consumers by 2020, according to statistics compiled by Fast Company. (Source: Forbes.com). WHO ARE GEN-Z Anyone born from 1997 onward can be considered “post-millennial,” or, Gen Z.  My daughter is considered a Gen Zer and it fascinates me to see how much things have changed from when I was a kid.  From being exposed to technology since she was very young, her…

Be Sure to Check Out the YouTube Streamy Awards Live 10/4!

    October 4, 2016 /

Look! Mom, there is a YouTuber!  Those were the words straight from my 10 year old who could probably name every well-known YouTuber out there.  I can tell you attending the 6th Annual Streamy Awards Red Carpet and Nominee Awards Party at the YouTube Space in Los Angeles last Saturday night was the night of her life!  The Streamy Awards was created by Executive Producers Drew Baldwin (See interview below), Brady Brim-DeForest and Marc Hustvedt of Tubefilter and Joshua Cohen and Jamison Tilsner of Tilzy.tv.   The Streamy Awards are presented annually by Dick Clark Productions and Tubefilter to recognize and honor excellence in online video, including directing, acting,…

Book Review :: Influencer Marketing for Dummies

    January 11, 2016 /

When I created dandelion moms about three years ago I was pretty green to the whole world of influencer marketing and blogger world.  There have been some growing pains along the way and the landscape is constantly changing, but I feel I have more knowledge of what it means to be an influencer and the importance of staying true to your voice and message. One of the aspects of the job that has surprised me is how many companies (and individuals) don’t respect that for many bloggers their blogs are a main source of income and would consider it their full-time job.  Not all of us do this full time…

Inspirational Mom :: Holly Hamann of Tap Influence

    December 2, 2013 /

About four months ago I came across a video where Holly Hamann and Rustin Banks were talking about how important it is to tap your influence in the marketplace.  As I am fairly new to the whole mommy blogging sphere, I have been attempting to learn as much as I can so that I can provide quality content for our wonderful dandelion moms while working with companies I feel our audience would like to learn more about.  Rustin and Holly were pretty dynamic on the video and since then I have been an active follower of the Tap Influence network.  In fact, Forbes Magazine recently named Rustin as a…
