    Delicious Roasted Garlic Chicken and Brie Sandwich Recipe

    October 21, 2016 /

      I wish I could say I came up with this recipe all by myself but this delicious sandwich idea comes from one of my favorite sandwich cafes here in town.  I figured I could use my leftover roasted garlic chicken breast from the night before and with just a few ingredients duplicate it at home.  Friends, it was SO easy to make and goes far on taste.  This is the perfect day after meal if you have leftover chicken or even turkey!  I’m thinking of ways to keep eating turkey after the big meal.     Yummy Roasted Chicken and Brie Sandwich: What You Need: Cooked chicken breast (see my…

    Recipe :: Vegetarian Minestrone Soup

    February 21, 2016 /

      Our whole family managed to catch the flu that’s going around the past few weeks.  My husband’s doctor told him they are seeing record numbers in just Orange County alone this month!  I can tell you it has been a tough week of high fevers and aches and pains.  But now that we are on the other end of it, I wanted to make some healthy soup to help us get back on our feet. This Vegetable Soup recipe is really easy and one that will take you about 10 minutes to put together.  You can freeze leftovers to have on those nights you don’t have time to cook as it…

    3 Simple Ideas for School Lunches

    August 31, 2015 /

        Do you stress – even a little – about what you are going to put in your kids lunch for the day?  Last year I was telling a friend of mine that my daughter kept leaving her lunch that I made her and was ringing up quite the tab at the school cafeteria.  When I would ask my daughter about this she said she didn’t like what I had made her.  Hmmm.  My friend recommended that I have her help me in the mornings pack her lunch.  That way, she couldn’t complain that she didn’t like her lunch – because she helped make it!  I have also been…

    Recipes :: Back to School Lunch Ideas

    August 5, 2013 /

      The other day I was talking to a mom friend and we were complaining about what we were going to put in our kids lunch boxes each day now that school started this past week.  I mean I can only make PB&J so much and she will only eat it so much… so off I searched Pintrest to find some healthy lunchbox ideas.   Part of the appeal of making a yummy lunch that they will actually eat (there have been many a time she comes home hungry with a full lunch in her lunchbox) is making it look appetizing and fun.  I love the following ideas and know that it won’t take me too long…
