    January 23, 2020 /

    7 Tips for a Pet-Friendly Home

    August 8, 2019 /

My entire life, minus my college years, has been spent sharing a home with at least one pet. Over the years I have discovered that some fabrics and home decor work better than others when you have furry critters. Here are some tips given by pet expert Julia Szabo and Chicago interior designer Nan Ruvel, who designs pet-friendly interiors for clients. “The key is choosing the right materials and accommodating your animals’ needs,” says author of Animal House Style: Designing a Home to Share With Your Pets Julia Szabo, who shares her home with a dozen rescued dogs and cats. Julie says an animal-friendly house is more comfortable for humans too.…

This past week was filled with lots of hugs and kisses given to my dog (and cats) after seeing The Art of Driving in the Rain – a must-see movie out this Friday the 9th starring Milo Ventimiglia and Amanda Seyfried. It is one of those sweet movies that reminds you how much love our pets give us! So when I heard about the upcoming Clear the Shelters nationwide pet adoption drive I wanted to share it with you all. Grape Salad :: The Perfect Potluck Dish

    July 9, 2019 /

We received some yummy red and green muscato grapes from Melissa’s Produce this week and I searched for a recipe that called for grapes and found the perfect potluck dish ever… The Grape Salad. If you are from the Midwest you probably know all about this delicious and creamy grape salad dish! And after trying it, I can say that us folks on the West Coast have been missing out – big time. With a mixture of cream cheese, sour cream, sugar, vanilla bean extract with a sprinkle of brown sugar and pecans – this is basically a cheesecake fruit salad. It’s the perfect potluck dish or pool party treat.…
