    February 8, 2016 /

    7 Crafts Made from Nature

    June 14, 2015 /

Summer is about sleeping in (we should tell our kids it is a summer rule: sleeping in), lazy days by the pool or beach, popsicles and lots of sunscreen.  Here are some fun ideas to help spend your summer days making some nature crafts. Enjoy! Dipped in Gold: Aren’t these just gorgeous?  I think you could use just about any type of kid-friendly paints. These would look pretty on display in a wooden bowl! Found on: Blabla Kids     It’s a Hoot: My new favorite site Fireflies and Mud Pies is so cute – she has a ton of great ideas like this fun owl!   Make a wish little firefly: And…

Wild Kratts Unleashes Debut Toy Collection at Toys”R”Us

    October 15, 2014 /

It has been so fun watching The Kratt brothers, Martin and Chris, on such great shows like Zoboomafoo to the ever-popular Wild Kratts.  Our family enjoys all of their shows and I really like that the brothers make learning about wildlife fun and interesting.  They really have a gift for bringing the wild into our homes!  Recently they released a collection of Wild Kratt toys that are available at Toys”R”Us nationwide and on toysrus.com.  The extensive new range from Wicked Cool Toys – features collection action figures, talking plush, power suits and more – brings home all the action-packed fun of the hit animated Wild Kratts TV show on PBS Kids,…

Farm to Table Activities for Healthy Kids

    April 14, 2014 /

Image courtesy of Flickr With the rate of diabetes and obesity skyrocketing for children across the country, it’s more important than ever to instill an understanding and appreciation for whole and natural foods in our children. The “Farm to Table” movement aims to help children and adults ditch processed, chemical-laden foods and get back to eating healthy, farm grown foods that our bodies were designed to eat and enjoy. These activities can help educate children about whole, healthy foods in a fun and interactive way.   Join Your Local CSA Signing up for a Community Supported Agriculture (CSA) share is not only a fantastic way to get a steady stream…
