A Must See Film – The Last Word Out in Theaters March 3rd!

    March 3, 2017 /

In The Last Word, Shirley MacLaine is Harriet Lauler, a once successful businesswoman in tight control of every aspect of her life. As she reflects upon her accomplishment, she’s suddenly inspired to engage a young local writer, Anne Sherman (Amanda Seyfried), to pen her life’s story. How Can I Honor the Man with No Regrets?

    August 25, 2016 /

August 24. Today is my father’s birthday. I was with him on his birthday last year, and while driving the 500 miles back home, I knew in my heart that it was the last time I was going to see him alive. He passed away that September. Only my dad, John Dieball, could have lived 79 years in a body that had such serious heart issues. A heart attack at 29, his doctors and surgeons said it was a miracle he remained so vibrant for another 50 years. He had a brilliant and curious mind. And he lived a passionate and purposeful life. Have you read Bronnie Ware’s “Regrets of…

    Connecting With Your Spouse

    May 4, 2016 /

“The best thing to hold onto in life is each other.”   ~ Audrey Hepburn Recently, my husband and I had a heart-to-heart talk about the good and not-so-good aspects of our 20 year plus relationship. We talked about where we want to be in five years, ten years and talked about growing old together, but in any relationship, there is always room for improvement!  I don’t think we are the only couple who let raising kids, work, being a good son or daughter, paying bills, and things that just happen in life, etc., , take precedence over what was most important to a healthy relationship which I believe starts by…

Believe It or Not, Siblings Can Get Along

    May 3, 2016 /

Last month I sent my brother this meme to wish him a Happy National Siblings Day and this is the one he texted back. What a character, right?!  Did you get along with your siblings growing up?  My brother and I are about 4 1/2 years apart so I tended to treat him more like my baby and would take turns with my mom pushing him around in his stroller.  As we got older, we would spend hours playing anything from Monopoly, Clue, Life and Atari games.  Of course, we would have our arguments but it was mostly about him being my “bratty little brother,” around my friends.  You know…

Tips for Being a Great Pet Owner

    March 7, 2016 /

Today’s post is sponsored by Lunchbox. Yes, I am one of those types of people who adore their pets! You can find lots of pictures of my furry Maine Coon cat and handsome German Shepherd on my personal Facebook and Instagram feed!   I know there are a lot of us out there! I’ve learned some important lessons on how to be a good pet owner.  Whether you adopt your pets from rescue groups or a local breeder, they all need some TLC and training.  Here are some tips I’ve learned throughout the years. Take them out for regular walks: You can usually tell which dogs get frequent walks just from their behavior while…
