New Episodes of PBS KIDS’ READY JET GO! Premieres Monday, April 2nd!

    March 27, 2018 /

Exciting news READY JET GO! fans!  PBS KIDS’ is releasing five brand new episodes of PBS KIDS’ READY JET GO! which will premiere on Monday, April 2.  This is one of our favorite PBS KIDS’ show for so many reasons!  The music is super catchy and you can’t help but want to dance around to the fun tunes to learning about our solar system.  Astronomy has been one of my personal favorite subjects since I was a kid and to this day I still love watching Sci-Fi/Fantasy movies since most are placed on other planets and solar systems.  Where (are) you a Trekkie too?!  READY JET GO! focuses on astronomy, technology, and scientific innovation and invention. …

THE SCIENCE BEHIND PIXAR EXHIBITION at the California Science Center :: A Giveaway

    October 25, 2016 /

Last weekend we attended The Science Behind Pixar Exhibition at the California Science Center.  I am a bit embarrassed to say we had never visited the center before but I am so glad we had the opportunity to see firsthand all the wonderful things going on at the center! We even took a tour through the Exposition Park Rose Garden (amazing!) and The Natural History Museum of Los Angeles (also amazing).  You can take the family and spend the whole day enjoying all that this area has to offer. The Science Behind Pixar Animation: The Science Behind Pixar Animation Exhibition is such a treat for anyone interested in animation…

    October 25, 2016 /

Last week Marvel Studios selected the latest winner of their STEM-based internship program in conjunction with the theatrical release of Marvel’s Dr. Strange on 11/4. September 4, 2015 /

Have your kids started school back up this week or last week?  Did you have tears of sadness or a little bit of joy that you have some free time on your hands?  I think I had a little of both.  I enjoy the summer break with my daughter and love to head off to the beach or movies any time during the week.  But as I work out of the home, finding a balance can be quite challenging. As parents, we do our best to prevent too much of a summer slide – the loss of certain skills in math and reading that can happen over the summer, but there is…
