Louisiana Flooding: Helping their Schools, Teachers and Students

    August 24, 2016 /

We found out recently that several schools in and around the Ascension Parish would be delayed in opening/starting due to the recent flooding in Louisiana. I had seen mostly the displacement of families and pets and too many people losing everything. Left with unimaginable horror at what those in the area were dealing with and going through. It was during this time that a…

National Bullying Prevention Month :: Tips & Resources

    October 23, 2015 /

Image courtesy of Connect Safely.org National Bullying Prevention Month was founded in 2006 by PACER. It began as a week-long event intended to raise awareness about bullying and the long-term effects. The campaign has expanded to a month-long awareness event. Students, parents, and teachers are encouraged to take part in activities that educate and inform. Teaching our children and our peers about kindness, acceptance, understanding, and getting involved. According to PACER, 1 out of every 4…

Tech :: The SanDisk Card Meets All Your Storage Needs

    August 15, 2015 /

Don’t you hate when your devices aren’t working the way they should?  I get so frustrated sometimes but I have found over the years that when my computer “acts up” it is usually because it is at full storage capacity.   Recently, I heard about the SanDisk products that offer anything from professional-grade camera memory to point-and-shoot SD cards to microSD cards. I like that you can store your videos on the go and don’t have to worry about reaching your capacity on your devices!   The SanDisk SD cards are perfect for students who have a ton of information they need to save and would make a great gift if your kids are heading off…
