Growing up in Southern California in the 70’s I was introduced to skateboarding early on. I have a vivid memory of skateboarding down the street near my house trailing behind my dog, Max (a large Standard Poodle) holding his leash while riding. I thought it a good idea to grab a tennis ball I found in the gutter and throw it and jump back on to have Max drag us along. Camp Snoopy Celebrates 30th Anniversary at Knott’s Berry Farm
Last week I was invited to attend the reopening of the famed Calico Mine Co. ride and 30th Celebration of Camp Snoopy at Knott’s Berry Farm. I grew up with Knott’s Berry Farm and loved (and still do) the jelly’s (they have come out with a new jam and funnel cakes they sell at the park. As part of the celebration of 30 years of Camp Snoopy, Knott’s revitalized the five-acre nature wonderland. We visited Camp Snoopy during their Halloween Haunt celebrations and really had a great time – this Haunt is geared towards younger children. What’s Hot in Southern California :: Knott’s Camp Spooky Halloween Event
If you grew up in southern California you probably have visited Knott’s Berry Farm theme park as a kid. I loved going to Knott’s and remember eating the yummy pie and funnel cakes. In fact, I wanted to share the Knott’s Berry Farm experience with my daughter, so we purchased the year-round tickets this year. It is quite the bargain and we have full access to the park year-round (and even the water park) for under $200.
