Disney’s MOANA Out in Theaters November 23rd!

    October 9, 2016 /

Three thousand years ago, the greatest sailors in the world voyaged across the vast Pacific, discovering the many islands of Oceania. But then, for a millennium, their voyages stopped – and no one knows exactly why. From Walt Disney Animation Studios comes “Moana,” a sweeping, CG-animated feature film about an adventurous teenager who sails out on a daring mission to save her people.     During her journey, Moana (voice of Auli‘i Cravalho) meets the mighty demigod Maui (voice of Dwayne Johnson), who guides her in her quest to become a master wayfinder. Together, they sail across the open ocean on an action-packed voyage, encountering enormous monsters and impossible…

A few weeks ago we were invited to stay Rancho Bernardo Inn and enjoy a round of golf on their gorgeous 18-hold golf course and enjoy their latest creations at the Avant Restaurant (check below for an awesome giveaway courtesy of Rancho Bernardo Inn!).  It has been some time since I’ve played golf (like 20 years) but the world-class golf course is geared for all levels.  My husband has been playing for many years now and he loves this course.  You can read our review on Travel Advisor here.     The rooms at Rancho Bernardo are so comfortable with stunning views! GET YOUR MOTOR RUNNING… with Kia’s World-Class Vehicles

    August 23, 2016 /

My wife and I were invited to attend the Kia Exclusive Brand Experience showcasing Kia’s lineup of world-class vehicles down at The Hard Rock Hotel in San Diego.  We headed down from Orange County and they definitely treated us like rock-stars! Make no mistake, the crew at Kia are hard at work coming out with some of the safest and coolest cars on the market, but sure know how to have a good time!     Once dwelling at the bottom of the J.D. Powers report, this company has turned around their image and quality of cars to become one of the safest cars available and top the JD…

An Awesome and Affordable South African Safari – Addo Elephant Park

    August 7, 2016 /

The highlight of my family’s one month trip to South Africa this spring was our self-drive safari in Addo Elephant Park. South Africa offers many different types of safaris throughout the country – from luxurious one week safaris to the one-day self-drive ones. Since we travel full-time on a budget, the idea of spending thousands of dollars on a week safari just wasn’t going to happen. We heard that the self-drive tours are still fantastic and at a fraction of the cost – and it was so true! AMAZING!! Since we were traveling along the southern coast of South Africa in an area called The Garden Route, we decided to try…

    Join The Sustainable Travel Movement

    August 2, 2016 /

What exactly is sustainable travel?  The World Tourism Organization specifies it is the “management of all resources in such a way that economic, social, and aesthetic needs can be fulfilled while maintaining cultural integrity, essential ecological processes, biological diversity, and life support systems.” Sustainable tourism should also maintain a high level of tourist satisfaction and ensure a meaningful experience to the tourists, raising their awareness about sustainability issues and promoting sustainable tourism practices amongst them. (Source: World Tourism Organization).     According to a new poll, most travelers agree that traveling sustainably is important, but many may feel it’s easier said than done. AIG Travel, a worldwide leader in travel…
